Hey There!

I'm up on my little piece of heaven at the moment, having just finished mowing the section of the place I consider "lawn". It's absolutely gorgeous here today, and it really makes me question why I ever consider selling it or think about camping anyplace else. It's private, it's quiet, and I do have it now set so that everything just works. I've a few minimal landscaping things to attend to, but on the whole, if I just let them alone, it wouldn't be much of an issue at all.

Took my walk this morning, and conditions were truly great. My podcast came out today, so I am faced with a choice in the upcoming days - get the next one out ASAP, or let it linger for two weeks. I'm taking it day by day at the moment.

Motivation has been a problem lately, and by that I mean motivating myself to get out of the house. DW was making cookies and muffins this morning, and that's why I came up here, because I wanted to deliver those fresh cookies to my neighbors before they left. They're moving to SC come Oct. 1, and I will be very sad to see them go. They maintained the hardest part of this camp site - keeping the fields adjacent to the road mowed down. I do not have the equipment for that. They also maintained a few trails in the woods and they used them for riding their horses, so another benefit. I am not sure what the incoming people will be about. They've been described to me as a family from MN with young kids, so that's not anything like the people before the present occupants. I have hope that the incoming neighbors will be fine.

I got the cookies delivered to next-door wife, and we chatted a bit. Lawn is mowed, and I talked to my brother for a while about his new CPAP machine (I use one as well). Now I am just passing time until I head back home. I have to stop at Wal-Mart and pick up an iPad cover for my senior tech student. I think DW is making a tomato meat sauce for dinner tonight. And then, as usual, baseball and bed. Tomorrow is a busy day with golf and a tutoring session. I'll be planning the weekend in the meantime.

'Til We Meet Again!
