Hey There! It's 5:00 PM MST, 75°F, sunny

So far two nice days in the Flagstaff region. Yesterday we spent at Grand Canyon National Park. A one-hour wait to get in. We neglected to take into account that March is Spring Break week for many schools, so lots of families about. March is probably not a good month to travel if you don't like crowds.

This is the 50th anniversary of DW and my visit to Grand Canyon since 1976. The canyon remains the same - spectacular - while I am sure all the surrounding buildings are completely different or weren't even there back then. I can't really recall, but I will probably be looking at old photo albums when we return to see if we can make out anything.

We had a nice dinner at a restaurant called the Lumberyard. They had a special going on corned beef and cabbage, and it was by far the best corned beef and cabbage I've ever had. DW makes a basic dish, and it's good, but this was a cut above. Creamy cabbage and carrots, a cream sauce on top of red potatoes, and two nice slices of corned beef. An Irish Dingle stout went with it.

We listened to and watched Venezuela defeat the USA in the WBC as well. Good game, sorry to see the US go down in defeat, but they were flat with little excitement.

I spent the evening trying to work out some draft baseball software, but was unable to do so. Pretty upset at the company tbh. What I am asking the software to do is not rocket science, just simple downloading and uploading of data. We should think about using another service next year.

Today we checked out of our hotel and toured the area in Flagstaff that has the Wupatki National Monument and the Sunset Crater Volcano site. We also got some good views of the Painted Desert in the distance. We've now checked in to our hotel for tonight and are awaiting the dinner hour.

'Til We Meet Again!
