Hey There! It's 8:34 AM EST, 35°F, snow, rain, gloom.
It's been pretty gloomy here weather-wise, making our anticipated trip to AZ seem worth the effort. I will soon see the sun again! And it will be warm!
Yesterday was another - you guessed it - packing day. We had anticipated our cleaning person to come yesterday, but DW had the day wrong. And just this morning she called to say she wasn't coming because in her part of the county it's freezing rain. So she will come after we've gone.
I put the final touches on my clothes for AZ, and completed my electronics gear bag. I am probably taking too much electronics, but It's only one bag. I have one more load of laundry to get done, probably tomorrow, and then pack my traveling suitcase. I tried putting some gear into one of the pouches I got and then putting the pouch in the bag, but it took up more room, not less. Odd.
I also went shopping for snacks while DW went to choose her paint for the kitchen. I got a good selection of snacks for the trip. The poor young man who checked me out sure seemed bored with life in general and his job in particular.
In the afternoon I read another 12 projects and sent them along. Reading about 10-15 a day chips away at the pile.
I usually call it a day at 4PM when I can, and that's what I did yesterday. It ended up being an evening of leftovers for dinner and YouTube watching. I did watch a fascinating video on the state of Korean K-Drama, which I knew nothing about. Apparently Koreans are addicted to soap-opera style melodramas. This video took a deep dive into the history and development of the form and style, and how Netflix disrupted an industry during the pandemic. Fascinating stuff. Bedtime was 11:15 PM
