Hey There! It's 11:04 AM MST, 57°F, sunny
Nothing too spectacular about yesterday. It was sort of wet in the morning and unusually chilly during the day, so mostly the day was spent hanging out in the condo.
The morning routine took place as usual, but when I went to go for my walk, the light rain hit my face, and I came back in. DW has added Olympic viewing to her morning routine, so there were a whole pile of women figure skaters doing their thing. We had a breakfast of eggs, chorizo, and bagel. We watched the last five skaters do their thing, all medal contenders, and witnessed American Amber Glenn take her fall. We both felt so sorry for her - all that work to come up that short when it mattered. Too much pressure, I guess.
I took my walk after that, and actually found a CBC Ideas podcast on choking, so I listened. It's an actual thing, and yes - pressure is a large part of it. You have to learn to deal with the pressure.
In the afternoon I fired off a lot of emails to people I need to interview for my podcast before I leave the country. I hope they will be returning my emails soon because I'd love to schedule as much as I can so I know what my schedule will be. I also heard from our friends in Phoenix concerning spring training. I'll be getting back to them later today to make some arrangements.
Then I put on a new handle bar bag that arrived on the CT125. It fti very well, and will serve the purpose of carrying a power bank quite well. So the tank bag came off, but the return process is not very convenient. I am still debating returning it, because I would have to pay shipping to return it and then get charged a 10% restocking fee. I think I can find a use for the bag rather than return it. I should have bought it from Amazon. Lesson learned.
I ended up taking a short nap in the late afternoon. I checked out a couple of videos in my feed, and had dinner, which was leftover cheeseburger soup with a little more cheese, and a leftover chicken thigh. DW has discovered she was off a week with her menu, so she went to work re-arranging it. I think everything is scheduled and set as far as dinners are concerned for the rest of the stay.
After dinner I called Brother #2, who turned 70 yesterday. We'll be visiting him and his wife once we leave here for a few days on our way to WA. Then I listened to a couple of podcasts, one on finance, and one on AI. Bedtime was 11:07 PM
'Til We Meet Again!
