Hey There! It's 11:00 AM MST, 64°, sunny

Yesterday was a fine day, although at times I felt a little homesick. I think one of the disadvantages of snowbirding is the feeling of displacement. I love the weather, the warmth, the lack of snow and cold. But I can't quite get over that feeling of being somewhere that's not my own.

I spent the morning preparing and scheduling emails to go out as my podcast is released today. I am now trying to get a handle on how many interviews I have to get done in the next four weeks. I feel a little overwhelmed, and doubt I can get it all done. I may have to take one of those podcasts off.

DW wanted to go to lunch, so we drove over to the local Schlotsky's. We don't have those back home, and for some reason she really likes their flatbread offerings. She had a California flatbread, with avocado, turkey, and bacon. I had the pastrami sandwich, which wasn't terrible. We took our lunches to the local park. Going to a park here is not exactly a nature retreat, unless you love the desert. It feels rather barren, as do all the parks in the city. We're so used to parks being full of trees and greenery and water that a desert park feels empty.

We took a drive after lunch to get the car washed. We have been here for a month now and have yet to fill the tank with gas, a measure of how few places we've done. We need to sit down with a calendar and schedule the rest of the 4 weeks we have left here or it will all be gone sooner than we'd like.

When we got home I took a 90-minute nap - far too long. I was a little groggy for the rest of the afternoon. Dinner was leftover beans and farrow, which I silently and begrudingly ate. After dinner I replaced watching Youtube videos with listening to three podcast episodes. This was a significantly good change, and I intend to try and keep up the practice and move away from Youtube videos. Or at least watch less of them and restrict myself to the really good ones. Bedtime was 11:15 PM
