It's Christmas Eve, and the Feast of the Seven Fishes is the order of today. Son2 and GF came in late last night, and there will be plenty of cooking activity today!
Yesterday I went to Motor Vehicles to reneew my drivers license. I don't really know how I passed the eye exam, but I do not have to wear glasses while driving (I do anyway). Then I went to the grocery store for some last minute items for the feast.
I came home and searched through my box of bags to see what I had, then ordered a slingbag specifically for the Japan trip. I took a deep dive into a new YouTube channel I found and learned about Chinese EVs and also the history of TikTok and the details of its acquisition by the US consortium. In short, the US gets the data, but Byte Dance gets the algorithm.
We had chicken schwarma for dinner, and then I spent another evening of puttering around YouTube. Nothing special there. I watched an episode of Season 17 of Taskmaster, but I don't think it's going to be too good. Then bedtime at 11:10 PM. Son2 arrived shortly after but I was alread asleep.
