Hey There!

Missed another day! I remembered at 11:25 PM when I was just getting into bed that I had missed the day. I thought about getting up and quickly getting something in, but DW was sleeping and I did not want to disturb her. So I figured no big deal and rolled over and went to sleep.

Monday was a day filled with a number of errands. I took DW to physical therapy, then went over to the local park for a walk. I came home and had a bit of breakfast, and then went to pick up DW. I got a half-hearted head start on my next podcast, took a shower, and then took DW to her hair appointment. While she was out I went to WalMart to get another can of isobutane, and also a couple of small caribiners. While I was there, an $8 sling bag caught my eye, and I bought it. I think, once I get my pouches for my EDC, it will have enough room to carry a wallet, a small tool EDC pouch, and keys. I don't need any more in it. I think it's going to work fine! Good Enough!

Then I went to the local shipping store, picked up a couple of USPS flat rate boxes, and DW and I packed up the special pies we are sending to Daughter in the PNW. Mission accomplished, I can home and had a textchat with a friend about solar energy and changes we are both making to our houses to make them more energy efficient.

Dinner was quite nice: fried fish, rice pilaf from leftover rice, and air-fried chicken wings. The wings were quite old, having sat in the freezer for almost two years, but they were OK.

I also decided last night, with no ball game on, to listen to podcasts instead of scouring for YouTube videos. I downloaded a better podcast app than the one I had been using (open source), and listened to three podcasts. Two of the guests I had already heard on another podcast, but it was interesting to listen to them on a different one. Then I went to bed, forgetting to write here.

I think it might be better to listen to podcasts, since YouTube is rapidly becoming extremely enshittified. I'm pretty down on YouTube except for a few channels I subscribe to. But YouTube is now almost 99% a commercial venture, and I guess I'm oversaturated with the messages and product placements. Finding good podcasts will be the next challenge.
