Hey There!
It's 8:17 AM EDT, 52°F, Humidity 78%, Wind 9 mph NE, mostly sunny
Today is the autumnal equinox, and the weather is certainly reflective of that. Crisp cool air, sun and clouds, a slight breeze: all the makings of an ideal autumn day.
Yesterday after my morning routine, I prepared for my scheduled interview with my last podcast guest. I had to spend the morning boning up the history and biography of the subject, and frankly, it was pretty fascinating. The interview itself went well, and between preparation and the actual interview, I was done a bit before noon.
After a short break, I went ahead and put the whole podcast together. I've really simplified it down in this last year, so it doesn't take quite as long to edit. I edited the day's interview, put all the pieces in place, laid in some background music, and created the .mp3 file. Then I proofed it by listening to the file, after which I wrote the show notes, sent the proof link to my "proofer" to listen for errors, wrote and scheduled emails, and I was done. There is a lot of satisfaction in getting each podcast complete.
I killed about an hour online before I had to go to the podiatrist and get my new orthotics. They feel good in my walking shoes, but I also feel a little lifted. Over time as I walk in them and they compress a bit, they will feel more natural. I can get another pair in a year.
I read some more blogs and did some window shopping online before dinner. DW had found a recipe for pollock that had a Mediterranean flavor to it, with a bed of quinoa covered with grape tomatoes and zucchini, with some glazed carrots on the side. Pretty nice dinner. She comes up with some amazing recipes.
After dinner was over, I decided to watch Ip Man, the first movie in that series. It was a fine movie. The martial arts action was great, and the human storytelling was both epic and human at the same time. I'll be watching all of them this week, except for tonight, when I will be tuned into the WPBL Final Game 5.
I did do a little more web surfing to kill time before going to bed. Kitchen cleanup and bedtime came at 11:10 PM.
That's all for now. 'Til We Meet Again!
