Hey There!

It's 7:47 AM EDT, 66°F, Humidity 79%, Wind 13 mph S, overcast

Once I finished my morning routine yesterday, I was faced with the decision of taking a walk or not. I decided against it. I felt I wanted to have a full day of R&R after teaching and traveling, so I stayed in.

I ended up spending most of the morning writing a long post on baseball and posting it in two places. I decided I was going to root for the Guardians in the ALCS, and wrote about why. It was a little tongue-in-cheek in places, but it was fun to research and write. DW spent the morning buzzing around the house, cleaning out a couple of drawers and vaccuuming. She has a habit of doing my jobs when she loses patience with my general pace. I was supposed to do the vaccuuming, but I spent too much time writing, and she couldn't wait anymore to get it done. It's one of those things that makes you guilty, but she can also make her choices, so I just let it ride.

The afternoon didn't bring with it much activity. I sent out a class description to Son2 for the winter classes I am teaching, but specifically that's all I can remember. I think I've reached that age where remembering the smaller details of the day sort of escape me - I can't remember today all the small things I did yesterday to fill in the time. Usually this means I've watched YouTube videos or something else equally trivial. I did chase down the company that installed our combi unit in the basement for DW, who wanted to give that information to a friend. But I do know that I took a nap around 3:30, and turned on the Dodgers-Brewers game at 5 PM.

Milwaukee won that game, and it is nice to see the Dodgers with their backs against the wall. But it's a 7-game series, and it moves to LA tomorrow, so the tide could turn very quickly. During the game DW served dinner, which was creamy potato soup and a salad. I had snacked too much watching the game, so I ate only half the salad.

I watched the Cleveland-Tampa Bay game next, and it was a good game and a solid win by the Guardians. DW watched most of the football game, but went to bed early, unable to stay up for the 4th quarter and overtime. The baseball game took me to bedtime at 11:15, and I had cleaned up the kitchen in the 8th inning.

That's all for now. 'Til We Meet Again!
