Hey There!

It's Election Day in the US. I suspect the results will be a mixed bag. As is usually the case, the people will get the government they deserve.
Yesterday I went through my usual morning routine, and this week is actually a pretty free and clear week, as there is not a single appointment on my schedule. I like to see that. After breakfast I put on the final touches to my podcast. I had to do a tiny bit of editing, and then uploaded it to the site, wrote the show notes, scheduled it, and wrote the announcement email and scheduled that. It's ready for Wednesday. I also dragged all the recyclables out to the curb for pickup.
Then I recruited DW to take me up to the campsite so I could bring the motorhome back and prepare it for winter. I did not get anywhere as much usage as I thought I might from it. It's an emotional thing to know your camping days are waning. I wanted to spend a few days up on the camp site before it got too cold, but when I realized I had done no preparation work this camping season and would have to start almost from scratch in bringing gear up, I decided against all that work for one or two nights. I'll be spending the next two days or so securing everything for the winter and thinking about how to plan for next season. Selling the camp site is in the cards.
When I got the motorhome home, I called my mechanic to arrange for inspection and see why the engine is slightly misfiring. Maybe the gas has gone bad. I don't want to put too much money into it, but I may have no choice. I drained the fresh water out of the tank and pulled it back into the driveway.
I checked out to see if I could now purchase that Browning Talon 1 tent, but I am afraid the two sites that list it are inaccurate. One site says it can't process my payment, and the other site apparently processed three payments, but did not send any confirmation or sales number to me. I suspect those pending sales will not go through, but they may. I have written to both customer service centers, and the one that did not process my payment is not accepting my email. The second site hasn't responded yet. I may have lost some money here; we'll have to wait and see. I even contacted someone on Facebook who had one for sale in Fredricksburgh, but he won't ship. I think my quest for this tent is over. One clown on eBay had a sales price of $120 and a shipping fee of $120 for a 6 lb. item! Some people.
I decided to record the two paragraphs for my students that they are working on as examples of what they should shoot for, and sent them out via email. DW wasn't in the mood to cook dinner, so after some discussion I decided to go out to our local burger shack and see if they were still open. They were, and we had a rib plate and two empanadas for dinner. Lots of food for about $22. There were leftovers.
I spent the evening checking out a few other items I am interested in. One is one of those mini e-readers. The one I wanted is the EEGO A4, but it was out of stock (there's a theme her today). The other is a Pebble Time 2 watch. Honestly, I don't need it, as my Pixel watch is fine, but I like the fact that it's open source, and I can get a heart monitor, step counter, and sleep tracking on it without sending that info to Google. But should I spend $229 for that? To be continued.
Kitchen cleanup was easy due to no cooking, and I went up to bed at 11:04 PM.

That's all for now. 'Til We Meet Again!
