Hey There! It's 7:37 AM EDT, 68°F, Wind 16 mph S, partly cloudy
This morning I am writing from the back porch. The weather has warmed up to the point where it's very pleasant to sit outside in the morning to start my morning routine. As long as the kids on the other side of the fence don't start to yell and carry on, I'm good.
Yesterday was a good day in the sense that I got a few things done. After my morning routine, I took a morning walk, and found a bit of a different route that had me return via the DIssovery Way trail I filmed last week. The trail is nice to walk through, a little bit of woods in the morning. It added a bit of length to the walk; not much, maybe .25 miles. So the whole walk was about 1.75 miles, or a little over 30 minutes. That's good for me.
The very first thing I got done after breakfast was going up to mow the lawn at the campsite. I had noticed it was a little long when we brought the camper up on Sunday, so I wanted to mow first thing yesterday. That's a 2.5 hour job. I was finished by early afternoon. I putzed around with the tarp covering the two trailers, and hopefully have a better cover, but there's nothing I can do right now when the rain pools up and the weight drags the covers down.
I had some lunch - a leftover chrispy chicken tender with lettuce and mayonaisse - and then set out to get my scooter back up and running. All it needed was a new battery, so I went to the auto parts store and bought one. For some reason, they had Mexican Coke in their drinks cooler, and I bought one. I drank it when I got home, and the sugar rush was intense. I actually got a little disoriented from the rush! That stuff tastes fantastic, but the affect on my body was a little much. But I'll probably have another and not drink it so fast.
DW had gone to the podiatrist in an attempt to get her handicap parking permit renewed, and she was successful, but she got some news about how to care for her surgically repaired foot a little more. She will be getting new orthodics, and she got some NASID cream to help with her pain. She's not sure, however, if she can use it with her blood thinner and other medications. That's a call for today.
After I got my scooter's battery in, I put the registration on the Trail 125, and went looking for the side mirrors. I had misplaced them somewhere, but eventually found them with the ratchet straps inside my helmet. I put them on, adjusted them, and took a ride around the extended block. All good; she's ready to ride once I inspect her.
Dinner was a mix of vegetables stewed in a tomato broth with chorizo. The chorizo had a nice bite to it. After dinner I went out and put away all the tools I dragged out to prep the bikes, then came in to watch the game. An extra innings win. While watching the game I checked out a few solar battery videos, as I am preparing to set up my solar system this week. I ended up watching a garbage video I shouldn't have watched, which made my bedtime happen later than it should have - 11:20 PM. So it was a day of small accomplishments, which is always satisfying. This week will go fast, I'm thinking.
'Til We Meet Again!
