The heat and humidity are building. DW has thrown on the AC. I will be putting the window AC in later today.
Yesterday was what I would now call a typical day. I think I am breaking into the new rhythm. I had a quick breakfast and am trying to get my day started by 10AM. The less time I can take going through the morning routine, the better.
My main objective for the morning was to get the paperwork for exchanging plates for the cars done. And in fact, I did get that done. A success! I put everything in the envelope, went to the post office, paid the postage, and went home. But when I got home, I had the deflating realization that DW had forgotten to sign the title, since her name is on it. I went back to the post office, and fortunately was able to retrieve the envelope. I brought it back home, but by then it was too late to get everything re-done, so I left it for today and headed to the project meeting.
The meeting was another frustrating one, but at this point I have decided to try not to care and let everything go. There is nothing critical for me resting on this, so I am perfectly willing to get my part done and let the rest of the chips fall where they may. The female lead remains unable to retain and absorb information and execute correctly. It's a crushing three hours, and a wasted three hours as well, but all this will pass in 26 days.
I re-charged the EV and headed home. DW had cooked some chicken and potatoes in the crock pot, and we had those for dinner. I went to watch the ballgame, but soon became uninterested, as the team immediately started losing badly in the early innings. I went out to try and figure out how the charge timer on the EV worked, but for some reason that remains mysterious, I cannot sync the charge clock with the timing clock. I have no idea why they have to be separate clocks. Without being able to sync the clocks, I cannot set a timer, which leaves me having to charge overnight to 100% every time. In the short term, I don't really care, and even in the long term it doesn't make all that much difference. With a battery having only 65% of its health left, Level 1 charging isn't going to do much damage. It's just a frustration and a mystery, that's all.
Once I gave up I came back to the house and messed around in the internet. I spent most of that time researching AirBnBs for a possible return to AZ in January. I did have some apple pie and ice cream for dessert - not proud of that, but it was good. Bedtime was 10:50 PM.
