Hey There! It's 8:30 AM EDT, 60°F, Humidity 93%, W 5 mph W, mostly sunny
Yesterday wasn't a miserable day, but it wasn't terribly fun either. The less said about it, the better.
I woke up having not slept well at all. It was one of those nights where I got up to pee at 5AM and could not get back to sleep. That kept me grouchy and groggy for most of the day.
I went through my morning routine, thinking that there wasn't enough coffee in the world to wake me up. I also know that my routines and rhythms have been busted up, and I also think this is part of it. No walk yesterday - too tired. In fact, I haven't taken a walk in probably the past week. This is not a good sign. I am finding the balance between walking to create energy and walking to become fatigued is a fine line, one I haven't mastered yet.
Breakfast was a bowl of oat bran. Then I became determined to relax and gather as much energy as possible before the afternoon's project session. I had to contact the rotisserie league commissioner because he mismanaged my transactions, putting players on my team that I don't own. Most of the rest of what I did - research on items to buy, some financial information, et.al. - were just time-killers until I had to leave for the project.
I got there at 1PM, and spent the next three hours working with the female lead. She is really a pain in the butt, because although she is well-meaning and a good soul, she is not a quick learner, cannot absorb information quickly, is awkward, and is also defensive and deferential. She's one of those people who masks inability with a bright, sunny personality. It's a hard combination to deal with. So we worked from 1 until 4PM. I was thankful to get out. It's going to be a long month ahead.
When I got home I took a nap, but it was another one of those hard, fitful naps. I slept, but not too well, and woke up groggy at 6 PM, just before dinner. DW had made zucchini fritters and potatoes, and I ate them without much attention.
After dinner I turned on the ballgame late because it started an hour earlier, and watched a loss. I filled the rest of the evening with mindless nonsense. I finally managed to cancel the podcast site I had created with my son, but I lost the money because they do not refund partial use fees, and the negligence was mine. All in all, not the greatest of days. Before going to bed I set up a new Echo Spot in the hopes I can retire the original Echo Show v1 that I still have. I want to stop using it because of the camera. So we'll see if the new one works out. Bedtime was 11:07.
