Hey There! It's 8:40 AM MST, 42°, mostly sunny
Back to morning writing! I hope I can remember to keep it up. Establishing and keeping to my morning routines here in AZ have been a bit challenging, but I think things are finally quieting down.
Yesterday was a day where I slogged through reading a bunch of my projects until about 5PM. I have to get them off my plate ASAP, but there are so many it's still going to take me until the end of the week to get them all done. Not sure I can read more than 30 a day without going crazy. Some are good, most are average, some are shit. We have to think of a better process next year to help divide the work.
My breaks from that task included having leftovers outside for lunch when it got over 70°F, and receiving a delivery of sourdough bread from the landlady's husband. I did, however, cross out most of the short items on my to-do list, including renewing Son2's car registration, emailing requests for podcast interviews, ordering CPAP supplies, and getting my AZ state land use permit. Other than that, I read projects.
DW is feeling much better, and managed to cook dinner on her own yesterday. We had salmon, fried zuchinni, brown rice, and she made sort of a garlic bread from the sourdough. After dinner I spent some time watching Youtube videos of a guy who rides a CT 125 in this area. I'm trying to get as good an idea of where he rides as I can, but he's very circumspect about where he rides most of the time. He's been on some rough roads lately, but it's good to be able to see the kinds of conditions available in the area. I also spent a little time with Daughter, whose Macbook Air, which we bought her in 2017 when she was in her car accident, seems to have died. She's going to buy another one from her boss, who had the battery replaced and is selling it for $175. Should be sufficient for what she uses it for. Bedtime by 11:15 PM
The interesting thing about the weather out here is that it starts off chilly in the morning, gets very warm with the sunlight, and then gets chilly again at night. Also, my body always reads warm, sunny days as long days of sunlight, whereas here, the sun still goes down aroung 5:30PM. That catches me by surprise.
