Hey There! It's 8:20 AM MST, 52°F, sunny
I had a very good night's sleep last night, it appears. Got up to pee once early on, and then slept through until 7:15 AM. Unusual, but I like it. I wish every night could be like last night.
Yesterday was a good day overall. I got up feeling tired and a bit grouchy, but as the day went on I felt better. After my morning routine, which was pretty extended, I took a walk to see how I was doing. It felt fine, no issues, a normal morning's walk. That was a good sign.
I canceled my ride with Frank for tomorrow and pushed it off to Thursday. I figured it was smart to give myself a couple of days to regain equilibrium before going out into the desert on a motorcycle. I also re-scheduled an interview at the request of the guest, whose schedule got screwed up by the nor'eastern that dumped a ton of snow on the northeast.
I also spent the morning exchanging emails with the people we're going to visit in Phoenix this coming weekend. After a number of texts we finally got tickets for a game on Saturday and then Sunday. It's my spring training excursion, and I'll be able to cross off two Cactus League ballparks off my list. If I get back here next year, I'll try to complete the list.
Then I spent some time with DW completing the itinerary for the 10 days after we leave here. We decided to skip the Skywalk at Grand Canyon West. We should be OK with what we came up with: Grand Canyon, Williams AZ, Kingman AZ, and my brother's place. From there we will be heading to WA, with stops in Freso, Red Bluffs, Eugene, and arriving at Tumwater. It's not too strenuous a schedule, but it's a schedule nonetheless.
That took me all the way to a late shower, and then a nap. Dinner was leftovers; I had the bolognese sauce. DW had the chicken chili. Plenty of pork still leftover.
The evening had me watching a few Sidetrack Adventures videos, which I enjoy because they are so straightforward and about interesting, out-of-the-way places in the Southwest. I am learning a lot from them. Somehow, later in the evening, I found a new blog called Nice Marmot, written by a retired Navy Commander. He's a good writer, and I enjoyed his posts. I have him in my rss feed to follow. I sent him a "thank you" email for his blog. Bedtime was 11:02.
'Til We Meet Again!
