Hey There! It's 10:36 AM MST, 49°F, light rain/wind
This morning it's about as wintry as we've seen it get in SE AZ. I stepped outside to begin a walk, but was driven inside when a little bit of rain-driven wind hit my face. Maybe a good day to find indoor activities.
Yesterday was a mildly busy day. I took DW to get her hair done at 10 AM, then went to get a not-so-tasty breakfast sandwich from a local place that supposedly serves healthier food. Healthier doesn't necessarily mean bad, but what I had was no improvement to the traditional bacon, egg and cheese on a bagel I am used to.
I managed to carve out a few errands such as researching the route to Olympia. We've made the necessary travel plans to see the Grnad Canyon, but we still have to create the route up north. I discovered after much digging about that it's safest simply to take I-5, because I can't risk being delayed by not being able to cross mountain passes in the Sierras. So that will be the next step.
Once I picked up DW, I came home and wrote a bunch of emails to people trying to schedule as many of my interviews as I possibly can. I got about 2/3 of the emails written, and am waiting for some responses to come back hopefully today. If I can manage to get three episodes done it will be a minor miracle. I think realistically I may drop an episode just to ease the work load. I find I am getting stressed a bit by having to get all the scheduling done. I don't know if I mentioned this earlier, but I had a conversation with the Executive Director concerning finding a replacement, and he is getting the ball rolling on that. I hope I can finish this by the end of June at the latest.
I had bought a pair of AirPods to see if they'd work in terms of noise cancellation and lighter weight, but they don't stay in my ears. So I went through the process of returning them. I then bought a handle bar bag for my CT125, and it should arrive today. If it works, then I will be able to remove the tank bag. I found that it got in the way of mounting the bike. Replacing it with the handle bar bag should allow me to regain the ability to step through and mount.
Dinner was meatloaf with sweet potatoes and brussel sprouts. DW made a 2-lb meatloaf for another dinner and one lunch. We probably overdid it on the beef purchase last week, and so we'll be eating a lot of beef and fish to get rid of it all by the time we leave. The evening was spent pretty much futzing around on YouTube as well as looking at maps of the area and thinking about future bike trips. Bedtime at 11 PM.
