Hey There! It's 8:17 AM, 16.5°F, mostly cloudy. There is a winter weather advisory out for tomorrow.
The final podcast is in the can! I won't have to produce another one until the end of January. I just have to set up and finalize show notes and emails. It's a good feeling to have that accomplished.
Which brings me to Monday. It was Podcast Production day, which takes all day. I brought DW back and forth from PT, and in between put in 30 minutes on the treadmill. I hate the treadmill because it makes walking feel like a chore rather than just a pleasant walk outside. I listened to half a CBC Ideas podcast on hospitality. Then around 11AM I dug in, and was finished by around 5PM.
The whole time I kept a running chat with Son2 about his end-of-year finances and preparing for 2025. The man is obsessed with saving for retirement, which I think is good, but I do wish he'd just settle on one plan and let it ride. He's also going to save for a better car next time this year. He has a Toyota Corolla with 150K miles on it, and he likes it, but it's showing its age (2008).
Dinner was one of DW's specialties - pasta with cauliflower and breadcrumbs, topped with parmesan cheese. I like it, but don't love it, and I can't eat it leftover for some reason. After dinner I finished up a few small items for the podcast, watched an episode of TaskMaster, and then a few overs of the third session of Day 1 of the Ashes. Australia took two wickets in that time, but England is playing much more conservatively, and I believe the current score is 4-220 or thereabouts. Joe Root, who is the world's #1 ranked test batsman, is trying to get to his first century (100 runs scored) in an Ashes test match played in Australia. He's in the 80s at the moment.
