Hey There!

It's 9:23 AM EDT, 47°F, Humidity 90%, Wind 5 mph SE, sunny

This stretch of weather has been delightful. It's remarkable how much sunshine and daytime warmth we've been having. It's so good, it only makes you more anxious concerning the coming colder months.

Yesterday, after morning routine, I went out for my first walk in days. I kept it simple, going about 1.4 miles. The morning was gorgeous, and the light on the leaves was incredible. I stopped to take a few pictures, which I don't normally do. It was good to get out and get that walk in.

After walking, I went to the recycling center and dropped off my recyclables, and then went to the site that collects clothes for the homeless and dropped some clothes in. I've got a hell of a lot more clothes to get rid of.

I went to a spontaneous gathering for lunch over at the local college dining hall. It's sort of a buffet - one price for all you care to eat. There's a lot of variety. I met a few other retired colleagues, and we ate and chatted for about 90 minutes. I think we solved all the local problems in the area.

After lunch, I came home and checked out my calendar for the coming week. I have this coming weekend scheduled in Son2's city again, as I am covering a class for him. I did take about a 40-minute nap in the late afternoon.

Dinner was once again some leftovers, this time fajitas and beans. The leftover rice was too dry to eat. I don't mind leftovers because they taste fine and it always gives DW a break from cooking. I really am a bad cook.

After dinner, I watched the Jet Li film Once Upon A Time in China. It was fine, but the plot meandered all over the place. The action sequences were pretty good, however, which made up for the rambling plot. I suppose at some point I will have to see Pat II. The movie was long, and it took me right up to bedtime at 11:00 PM after cleaning up the kitchen.

That's all for now. 'Til We Meet Again!
