Hey There!

It's 8:25 AM EDT, 65°F, Humidity 82%, Wind 11 mph S, rain/wet

It feels good to be writing again first thing in the morning. Once you get into the habit it feel off when you don't start the day with a post.

Yesterday, as you already know, I had a abbreviated morning routine due to my weekly round of golf. I was truly afraid that I wasn't going to be up for it physically, since I had experienced so much fatigue on Tuesday from driving. But I had no problems walking the 9 holes beyond the minor aches and pains. Another decent round, but no pars. My putting is getting pretty good, but I wish I could sink a couple of those 10'+ putts more often.

After the round I went to the local Aldi's to get a collection of snacks for the baseball playoffs. I picked up some trail mix and some chips for nachos along with the cheese. I also got some half-and-half for coffee.

When I got back home I sat for a bit, wrote yesterday's post, and sort of caught up with some rest. Close to 2 PM I made myself a PB&J sandwich on a cinnamon raisin bagel and sat down for the day's first game.

The rest of the day was spent watching the playoffs. The Phillies came back for a 4-3 win in 10 innings, the White Sox dispatched the Asstros (sic), and the Yankees annihilated the Red Sox. As of this writing I haven't watched the Padres-Cubs game, I intend to to do that right after writing this post, catching the condensed game on MLB.com (edit: Padres sweep Cubs 4-1)

Dinner was spaghetti and meat sauce, while DW had some other kind of sauce from a jar that looked unappetizing. She had been dealing all day with the drama of her sister trying to get into assisted living, going back and forth with her niece. My SIL is difficult to deal with, as she is unintelligent, belligerent, and uncooperative. It's been a struggle getting her into a situation she can afford, and her unwillingness to cooperate has been a hard obstacle to overcome. We'll see where she is this morning.

At any rate, the games took me until about 11 PM. I cleaned the kitchen, discovered I had trapped a mouse (#4), and went to bed around 11:25 PM. The mouse will be dealt with later this morning.

That's all for now. 'Til We Meet Again!
