I think I enjoy writing first thing in the morning rather than at any other time in the day. This morning seems unusually quiet. I am warm in the house, the weather at the moment is still and tolerable in the low 40s with clouds, and I have some coffee. All good.
I think the highlight of yesterday was buying my airline tickets for my planned trip to Japan in March/April of 2026. I'm going with my brother, his wife, and one of his good friends. I believe my nephew is coming along as well with some of his friends. It's a large group, which is not my preferred way of going, but I think once we get there, there will be plenty of room for going solo here and there. It's a bucket list trip for me. DW does not have a passport, and traveling for her is also very difficult in terms of walking and getting around. So I'd want to do something else with her in the future.
I did two interviews yesterday, and both went well. So I have the material to put together my podcast. I might do some of that today, but I also have projects to read and approve as well.
I have, I believe, finally recovered from Tuesday's camp site work. I was really achy yesterday, and aside from the interviews did nothing else at all. Whatever was going on with my stomach has seemed to pass as well. I ate very lightly yesterday and went to bed a little early, so I feel quite good. I don't know whether to push that by going out for a walk today or not. I only have one appointment, my standing meeting with me senior tech student, so I might take one more day off and relax. The weekend is a little busy, and snow is predicted for early next week, so I want to be in relatively good shape to get things done.
I went down an EDC rabbit hole on YouTube with a newish channel. It's hosted by a female, and she bills herself as "elegant." She's different in that regard, and her videos are very polished and tightly scripted. I don't think her approach is for me, but she probably will fill an interesting niche in the EDC world over time.
