Hey There! It's 7:59 AM EDT, 74°F, Humidity 84%, Wind 9 mph W, hazy. The current Air Quality Index is 175 (Unhealthy).

Yesterday was another day consumed by the project. I had to get to the site early yesterday, so my morning routine was cut short. I left the house at 8:30 AM, arriving at the site by 9 AM.

From that point on the FL and I simply slogged through the project piece by piece, trying to hone in all the fine points. We worked until 1:30 PM almost nonstop. Then she had to run home and do some errands, so I also went home.

I tried to nap a bit and get some rest. I maybe got 45 minutes of sleep. Then I had to go to the mechanic to pick up the Kia - another substantial bill to have the brakes bled, two calipers replaces. Then around 4 PM I had dinner, which was some chicken thighs in tomato sauce over leftover pasta. Then back to the site.

We worked with the full company until about 7:45 PM or so. There are moments when the projects shines, but too many moments when it still clunks along. When we were done, I left the site feeling pretty tired, but hopeful that with the work we'll do today, we'll get it done on time. It goes public on Friday.

Once home, I settled into the couch for some de-compression time. I watched a Sidetrack Adventure video on the lost sections of US Highway 395 in California, a road I'd someday like to travel. I checked into my RSS feed and watched a video about journaling for an audience of zero, which I found interesting. The subject of blogging is always one that intrigues me for its elements of private thoughts as public performance. It's a topic I want to write about on my own public blog once the project is over. I rounded off the evening with two episodes of Peter Gunn. I love that series because it's all "TV Noir." I don't think there's ever been another TV series where everything is shot in B&W in the noir style, and all the action takes place at night. Very visually intriguing, not to mention the cool jazz music and hip nightclub scenes from the late 50s-early 60s. And Lola Albright - well, enough said! Bedtime was 11:04 PM. DW has been covering for me cleaning the kitchen while I've been wrapped up in this project.
