We arrived today in our AZ location. As we drove into town all the memories of last year came flooding back. It's really fascinating how, when you return to a place you've been, it feels like you never left. Our hostess is a Long Island native like us, and she can talk like one. She welcomed us and stayed for almost an hour chatting about not much. She still has a strong LI accent. She's been here for 15 years and loves it, especially the weather. This place is hard to beat weather-wise.
Last night the hotel had a pizza party for the guests, so I went down and wolfed down some pizza and chips and a little wine. Wasted time on YouTube again until I went to bed.
We're only unpacking a little bit today and will empty the rest of the car tomorrow. The unit is like a 2-bedroom apartment, just large and cozy enough for the two of us. All the room we need, and nothing in excess. When we got into town I immediately went to the farmer's market for a pulled pork sandwich. It may be enough to keep me full for the rest of the evening. I'm looking forward to settling in tomorrow and being off the road.
