Hey There! It's 8:18 AM, 28°F, grey and cloudy with periods of snow, windy.

Yesterday was an ugly day. Today is a winter day. There's a difference.

I spent yesterday morning experimenting with some new RSS readers, but I came upon the realization that I don't really read what appears there. I am subscribed to a few newsletters, but the problem is that none of them bring me any good news. The news is all bad. I am beginning to consider not using a news reader at all. I have one or two email newsletters that come into my email give me the headlines. Maybe that's enough. So today I may delete a lot of stuff I don't read, and reduce my RSS feed to an absolute bare minimum. I honestly can't remember anything I did of any interest before noon yesterday beyond that. I did, however, make a preparation list for the next few weeks in order to get ready for AZ.

The afternoon had a burst of activity. DW had put in a Walmart order, so I took her to her hairdresser appointment, then I went to fetch the order. There were a few things Walmart didn't have, so I went to another local supermarket. What an experience going to the store is these days! So many items to buy! I experienced a bit of sensory overload, and succumbed to the old habit of buying things not on the shopping list. I didn't go wild, but I probably doubled the cost of what I went in there to buy.

Then I went home and put the refrigerated items in the fridge. Then I went outside to scrape off the ice from the driveway, because it was in the upper 30s, and if more snow were coming, it's best to let that snow land on bare cement rather than a layer of ice. A grocery delivery driver warned me not to overdo it.

Once I had done that, I went back into the house for a hot mug of cider. DW called, so I went to pick her up. At that point, the bulk of the day was done. Dinner was chicken with potatoes and a salad, and with the rest of the day I watched a few YouTube videos and another section of the Ashes. Australia is on the chase and I think right now is something like 167 runs behind, with Labaschagne and Smith at the crease. They're down 2 wickets as well. Bedtime at 11PM.
