Hey There!

It'll be another abbreviated post this morning, as I have to drive to Son2's city to teach a class for him. This begins a session of classes for the next 6 weeks.
Yesterday after going through my morning routine, which felt very pleasant, I set out to try and solve the domain mapping problem for my public blog. I have done a lot of consulting with an encrypted AI that comes with my email provider, but the final solution came when I asked the AI if I had to eliminate the A record set by my provider in order to make the new one active. It said yes. Up to that point I had never read anywhere that I had to eliminate or delete A records or CNAME records. So I started doing that, and that was the ticket that got my site actively mapped to my public blog. After an hour or so, everything had been cleared through internet protocols, and the site was running with the new name. I then spent some time changing links throughout the blog, and wrote a post announcing the change. It felt great to have finally conquered this problem.
As I was working, we got the news that DW's sister had gone to the hospital with the #4 flu and congestive heart failure. We can't say what brought it about, but given all the energy she spent yesterday, it's no surprise in a sense that the flu bug took over in her weakened state. We also found out that she had called 911 four times overnight, claiming her daughter had kidnapped her and was holding her hostage. The first time they came with a SWAT team, the second time I think with just a patrol car, and the next two times they ignored her, calling the director of the facility instead to inform them of the problem. The director believes she does have symptoms of dementia, and once she comes back from this latest hospital stay, they may evaluate her for that. It's both crazy and sad at the same time.
At any rate, since there was nothing we could really do, we took the news in stride and continued the day. There were four divisional playoffs starting in baseball, and I tuned into all four games over the course of the day. Before I started that, however, I began the process of putting my podcast together, which consisted of writing the script, recording it, and then putting the interview into the editing program. That's as far as could get, as I wait for the recordings from the person doing the other two interviews. He is going down to the wire, which I don't appreciate, but nonetheless I think that's how it's going to go down. I gave him over a week to get it done. Bummer.
I have the following teams in the divisional playoffs: Cleveland over the Whote Sox, I don't care about Atlanta and Los Angeles, New York over Tampa, and Milwaukee over San Diego. Those are my rooting interests. It should be a fun week of games.
I did some laundry while watching the games, and also set up the newest solar panel on my back porch to charge up the latest battery. It should be a good combination for the motor home. At 5PM DW had dinner ready, which was pork loin chops in a gravy with potatoes and onions, and yellow beans on the side. Good dinner.
The evening continued the ball games, with NY losing to Tampa in a thriller, 1-0. The Tampa starter took a no-hit bid into the 8th inning. Great pitching on both sides, with one mistake hit for a home run. I watched as much of the San Diego-Milwaukee contest as I could, but left it tied 2-2 when I went to bed around 11 PM.
Notable deaths: Peppino Mazzullo, the long-time voice of the mouse puppet Topo Gigio, 100.
That's all for now. 'Til We Meet Again!
