Hey There! It's 8:50 AM Eastern Standard Time (EST)

Well, the Blue Jays lost, which was not the outcome I was hoping for. It was a wild game, a wild ending to a wild World Series. In the end, I think it's fair to say that the team that got the most breaks was the team that won. In this case it happened to be the Dodgers. Both teams played outstanding defense. I'd have to check the box scores, but I can't remember a single error (there's probably one somewhere). I also can't remember anything like a ball thrown away or a cutoff missed or anything like that. But I mean, a fly ball that absolutely gets stuck in the outfield wall padding on the fly is about the most incredible break I've ever seen a team get. While I am glad to see the series end so I can get back to some more normal evenings, it certainly was an incredible playoff season.

Yesterday, in my class, I think I lost a student because I might have either been too intense, or she was incapable of handling the content of the class, or she just overloaded herself. In any case I am down one student. Not a big deal, really, but you don't like to lose students. She is a German citizen here for a few months and she decided she wanted to keep busy by jumping into 3 classes. Probably too much for her. At any rate, it was a good session with some good breakthroughs by the remaining students and a lot of fun and interesting comments. The drives were uneventful, but I did hit a patch of rain, and there's nothing worse than dark and rain when you're driving (unless it's snow).

I am not sure what I will do with the rest of this day. There is work to be done, and maybe what I will do is keep it local. Work around the house on some chores like getting the garden hose stored away and other such tasks. If I can get the house more or less ready for winter, it will allow me to prepare to tackle the work on the land. Sounds like a good way to go.
