Hey There! It's 7:54 AM EDT, 61°F, Wind 5 mph SW, partly cloudy

Yesterday was in many respects a recovery day. Throughout this past week I've managed to get my 5000 steps in without taking an actual walk, as I walked back and forth across the Doscovery Way trail shooting video. So I was somewhat sore yesterday, and needed a little down time. I slept in a bit, to about 8:30 AM.

When I got downstairs DW was already in the kitchen with a cup of coffee, so I decided to forego making a whole pot and made a K-Cup coffee for myself as well. She then decided to whip up a breakfast pizza with the dough she had leftover from this past week's pizza, and it was pretty damn good with some salsa on it. No biscuit gravy with this recipe.

I had a conversation with Son1 about the Kia, and he has decided he will take the car. So I now have to go about working out how to get the car to him. I began to realize as the morning went along that I need a new to-do list for the coming week. There are a lot of thing to get done between now and when my next big project begins. A list will make that easier.

About 1:30 PM our beef order arrived - finally! We now have some fresh beef in the freezer downstairs which should last throughout the summer, and probably beyond. I can't say if we've gotten a bargain financially, but we do know where our beef has come from, and that's something we appreciate.

Late in the morning and throughout the day I created a little documentary on how the trail was created and what components make it up. My iMovie skills have clearly eroded, and it's been some time since I've made a storytelling video. So I probably fudged the controls a bit, making it work in the end. It took the rest of the afternoon to create, which honestly was much shorter than I anticipated. By around 3:30 I had it done, so I uploaded it to the shared drive, wrote emails to the principals involved, and wrapped it up. Around 4:00 I took a nap.

I woke up around 4:45 to the smell of turkey soup cooking. DW had found a frozen turkey carcass in the freezer, so she decided to put it in the crock pot and make some stock for soup. For dinner, we had Italian sausages in a tomato sauce with peppers and onions heaped onto a pita. Pretty good!

My originally scheduled ball game was rained out, so I tuned into a secondary one to pass the time. After the game I watched the latest Sidetrack Adventures on YouTube, as well as a very old (1938) and strange movie starring Lou Gehrig! He decides to go out west to a ranch his sister owns for peace and quiet, and ends up busting up a protection racket that's fleecing ranchers. Wryly amusing. It caused a late bedtime of 11:45 PM.
