Hey There! It's 7:57 AM EDT, 70°F, Humidity 67%, Wind 6 mph S, rain

Man am I sore this morning! You'll know why in a couple of paragraphs. I'l be chilling all day in the house, trying to get un-sore, and recovering for the week ahead.

Yesterday turned out to be an absolutely terrific day weather-wise, and so I went through my morning routine looking forward to the days ahead. I wanted to get up to the camp site and set up my solar for the motor home and cabin, but before doing that, I needed to reach out to my potential trading partner and set a time to chat about a trade for our rotisserie teams. It turned out he just started texting me stuff, so I went with the flow and started making suggestions. The process took some time, but after about an hour we managed to get an outline of the trade. I told him I would write it all up and get back to him later. I packed up all the stuff I'd need for the campsite, and headed out, arriving about noon.

The first thing I did was bring the power stations to their respective locations: the 3600W to the motor home, the 600W to the cabin. Then I set up the solar for the cabin, running the wires into the cabin, and powered up the portable fridge. I keep a 1000W in the cabin all the time, so I used that to start the fridge going. I started by setting up a 100W solar panel, but by the end of the day had switched to a 200W panel.

I took a break and set up my cabin computer using my phone's mobile hot spot. I did all the work to formalize the trade, and then sent my fellow owner the results. After a little back and forth for clarity and wording, we came to an agreement.

Once that was settled, I went back to the main task of installing the stands I had bought on the other 200W panels. The instructions these days are never easy to follow, as they're not written out anymore; just pictures. So I pulled up a video to see how it was done. I am not truly sure I've done it right, but they are working well enough for me, and so I consider it a success. Both the panels are now on adjustable stands, which is much more convenient. I placed them in back of the motor home where the battery lives.

I had intended to set up a solar charger controller as well, and I thought the 60A controller I bought last September would be up there. But I was unable to locate it, although I must say my search was not too thorough. By now I was a little hungry, so I decided I had accomplished enough, packed everything up, and came home.

I was home by 4:30, and already the stiffness and soreness was setting in. I listened to the baseball game on the way home and when I got home. It was a good win. I sat on the couch and reported the trade to the league web site.

I managed to get my body moving well enough to grill burgers for dinner, which we had alongside a salad. I had a beer with dinner, my first summer shandy. I really enjoyed it. After dinner I popped three Advils to deal with the soreness.

When I got back to the living room, I felt sort of stuck without a baseball game to watch. Then I realized there was World Cup Soccer. Now, I am not a fan of FIFA, as I believe they are akin to a criminal organization on the level of the Mafia. Nor do I follow soccer/football much. I find it somewhat dull, and the excessive amount of fouling, flopping, and raging at the referees is not appealing to me at all. But I figured it would fill the time better than YouTube videos, so I tuned in to Brazil v Morocco. It ended in a 1-1 draw, and both goals were scored before I had tuned in.

When the match was over, I thought I would turn on another match, but I noticed the NBA Finals were coming on soon. I am not a basketball fan either, as I believe the game no longer has strategy or precision. It's become nothing but a mess of fouls, grabbing, pushing, shoving, muscling, and shouting at the referees. Sort of like soccer. But the NY Knicks have been trying to make history with their first championship since the 70s, so I figured I'd give it a try. I got through about 3 quarters, and the Knicks were losing. And the game was frightfully dull, with little charm or beauty. I do not know as I write this who won, as I turned it off with the Knicks behind in the third quarter by double digits.

I was tired anyway, so I dragged my carcass into the kitchen, slowly got it cleaned up, and was grateful to get into bed by 11:00 pm.
