Hey There!

Yesterday was a day spent preparing for the arrival of Son2 and GF. I went through my morning routine, and as I was taking my walk yesterday, he messaged me to let me know he was packing up and getting ready to leave. All good.
When I got back from my walk DW was in the midst of getting things ready. She and Son2 are cooking buddies, so I know she likes to have a good amount of food on hand. I spent my time yesterday writing up a little post for my public blog. At noon DW went out for her spa day (a pedicure and manicure), while I more or less sat around and kept myself ungainfully occupied. I did some research for my rotisserie team, but I chose to wait until today to make moves. I think the season is lost for me in the sense of being competitive, but I continue to participate nonetheless.
Son2 arrived around 2PM, and we immediately had some lunch. It was mostly cold cuts for sandwiches with some hummus for dipping veggies, and some fruit. I made some coffee, and DW came in about 10 minutes after Son2 arrived. They have a little dog named Oomie, who is one of those hairy little pugs of some sort. After we had lunch they threw on the last part of the pre-season football game, which I had no interest in. Once it was over, we turned to baseball, which I should have had no interest in, considering the team is back to their lousy ways. They lost 4-1 I believe, and looked listless doing so.
Dinner was prepared after that, and we had the capezi steaks with corn and salad and baked zucchini crisps. I enjoyed it, but DW and Son2 felt the steaks were somehow different from what they used to be. I did not pick up on that, but then again I am not a picky eater by any means. I cleared the table after dinner, and Son2 loaded the dishwasher.
I tuned in the Womens Pro Ball League game, which started off as a good game but one of the teams fell apart in the late innings. While that was going on, Son2 was in the kitchen preparing to make creme brule (I'm too lazy to look for the accents on the keyboard), which I believe we will have for dinner tonight. They also brought these Nutella ice cream cones, which were pretty delicious.
Once the game was over, Son2 looked for a movie to watch, which neither DW nor I stayed up to see. I went to bed aroung 10:50 PM, leaving Son2 and GF to enjoy the rest of their evening. The menu for this morning includes breakfast sandwiches, and there is a coffee cake to be consumed, but I need to wait until everyone else is up and about.

That's all for now. 'Til We Meet Again!
