Hey There!

It seems that I may not have to type the whole date, just the day of the week, since this platform records the date on the right. Giving it a try to see how it looks.

In the end, I did not go for a walk yesterday. Once dinner is over and the day feels done and settled, it's hard for me to motivate myself to get out and do anything else. And this is a change in my life, because for the vast portion of my working life I essentially worked two jobs. I would do my day job, come home, eat dinner, and then head out for my night job (which was not steady, more an ad hoc thing, like a side hustle). These days, the evening comes, and I'm psychologically done. There are exceptions here and there for things I volunteer for, but most evenings I am done for the day by 5PM. In the winter it's worse - I am done by 3PM as I sense the coming darkness. So yesterday ended with dinner and a dispiriting baseball game.

This morning I've already taken my walk. The sky had a lot of grey clouds hanging overhead as I walked, and I could see a small rainstorm out in the distance. The lake water was choppy as well. Today was the first day I put on a sweatshirt for my walk, and I suspect it will be sweatshirt weather from here on out. I think I need to add one small leg to the walk to start getting in the 2 miles rather than 1.75 or 1.85. Shouldn't be too hard.

On the agenda today is to begin getting out the brush to the curbside. It's cool enough to engage in some physical labor, and if I don't tax myself too much, it shouldn't be too hard. It has to be done by tomorrow preferably, but I think I'll be OK if I get it all done by Monday morning. An afternoon ballgame, and then not sure at this point what the evening will bring. I've also been updating all my Linux computers to Linux Mint Zara, which apparently was released a few days ago. Not much looks different.

This past week seems to have gone by quickly. Time is a slippery thing these days. There is no steady pace to how time goes by. Sometimes a week goes fast, sometimes slow. I guess it depends on how much activity I'm undertaking. Before I know it, fall will be over and winter will show up. And I'm never ready for winter to show up.

'Til We Meet Again!
