It's supposed to be a pretty pleasant weekend weather-wise. This morning is starting off right.
Yesterday was something of a mixed bag. After morning routine I went out for a walk, and took some pictures along the way, which is not my usual MO. I also ran into my friend and former colleague and his wife, who were doing some planting in the new Discovery Trail that was built in June. We chatted a bit, and I completed my walk.
When I got back home I had a little breakfast and then went in and begain to prep for my first of two interviews in the day for my podcast. The first one went well, although I sensed something had changed about my interviewee. She works where I used to, but she seemed frazzled. Hard to know what that's about, as I don't see her every day. Then I prepped for my second interview, which was a pleasant conversation with a very slow but deliberate person. So I have all my interviews now for the first podcast of the season.
Once my interviews were over, I had a little lunch, and then sat down and wrote two posts for my public blog. The first one was about my morning walk, and I uploaded the photos to go along with it. The second was about my new hearing aids, which I am wearing now as I write this outside. I am having a hard time adjusting to all the noises I hear. I know it's important to wear these things, so I am making the effort to get used to them. But compared to my old ones I am not sure the cost is justified. The world sounds too loud.
DW ordered some groceries and I went to pick them up, alongside dinner, which for me was a nacho-based dish of shrimp and bay scallops with a corn relish topping and some sort of aioli sauce. DW had a tuna-bacon-avocado sandwich. I had to wait for the order a bit because I ordered online for a pickup at a specific time, and I think they misplaced my order. The dishes were just a little cold.
We watched to WPBL final game between the NY Heights and the SF Firebells after catching the lastest episode of Ted Lasso. I'm definintely running out of interest in TL. Juno Temple is annoying as hell. The Heights won the baseball game 14-3 I think. Some lopsided score. They are the #2 seed in the playoffs, which start next week.
When the game was over I checked out my biopsy report from my colonoscopy, and I believe everything is fine. I had to look up what "No Dx" means (no diagnosis), but I am unsure what exactly that means. According to the internet, it means the doctor didn't have enough information to make a diagnosis, but it also doesn't mean "healthy." I think I will follow up with my primary after the weekend. Bedtime after all that research was 11:33 PM.
