Hey There! The time is 6:00PM
Man, am I whipped! For some reason, after walking two miles today, I am really feeling fatigued. I'm also feeling a bit disappointed and frustrated because I have followed my doctor's recommendations by walking almost daily (5 out of 7 days), and yet I haven't really lost any weight, and I don't feel like my endurance is getting any better. For as long as I've been walking, you would think I'd be able to come home and not feel so fatigued that I can't do much of anything else with the day. But that's how I feel. I take a shower, and all I want to do it sit around and recover the rest of the day. I need more endurance, or I need to walk less. Not sure what this is about.
Anyway, the day has been spent sort of farting around. DW decided this morning that the stove and racks needed to be cleaned. She's right, but it's a mega-chore, and I hate chores as it is. But as it turned out she started the oven's self-cleaning cycle, and the house began to fill with smoke ododr. So we opened all the windows and decided to go to our local burger shack for lunch. I had a BBQ dog, she had some chicken fingers, and we shared a plate of a new dish the owner cooked up - Papas Bravas, spicy potato wedges with a tomato-based sauce and garlic aioli, topped with bacon. Delicious! I added a Cherry Coke, unusual for me. $17 bucks, not too shabby given today's food prices.
We then went to the park and sat by the lake while I listened to the ballgame. We were there about an hour, then went home to check on the oven. I proceeded to lie on the couch and take a nap.
When I woke up, nothing much was going on. I thought perhaps I'd take a look at my motorcycle. I tried to ride one to the store to pick up some Brillo, but the tire came flat, and I think I broke the bead, so I can't just fill it up. My other scooter's battery was dying, so I couldn't start that up. The scooter is on the charger, while the motorcycle sits parked while I try to figure out what to do.
I think tonight we are going to watch a couple of episodes of "The Studio." We saw two last week, and it was pretty good, have to say. A haphazard day, to be sure.
'Til We Meet Again!
