Hey there! It's 11:15 p.m. EDT
So I'm dictating this particular entry because it's pretty close to the end of the day, and I haven't put anything in, and I forgot about it just until I was about to go to bed. So rather than sit down and type something I thought I would quickly dictate this post and get it into the blog so that I could have something for this day.
There really isn't that much to say actually. I got up late this morning. Slept in a bit till about 9:00. Then DW made a really nice breakfast of sweet potato pancakes and bacon, and I really enjoyed that. Along with my coffee and a muffin. Then I had laundry to do, so I went upstairs, took my shower, and then brought my laundry downstairs and started to get it done. I wanted to get a few items of clothing done before I had to drive to to get to my class, as today was a teaching day. I got everything clean and into the dryer, but I didn't get that last load out. I think DW actually took care of that for me.
The drive was fine. The day was nice so there was nothing really exciting about the drive. It's a 2-hour drive to my class, and I brought some things for Son2 in terms of food and utensils. Taught the class for 3 hours, and that was okay as well. Then got back in the car. Drove 2 hours home.
By the time I got home there was a chicken cutlet and a salad for me for dinner. I ate that, watched a few YouTube videos about DC battery boxes. I'm kind of interested in them because I think they may solve the problem of the DC side of a power station turning off. I noticed when I went to the cabin yesterday that the cooler was off, and I think what happened was with the cooler weather, the refrigerator didn't cycle the way it normally would in warmer weather. The power station sensed that there was no draw, it turned itself off and didn't turn itself back on. So the food that was in there spoiled, and I had to take it and throw it out.
Tomorrow looks like it's going to be an off day with nothing to do but hang around the house and find things to fill the time. The weather is going to turn a bit, as there is some promised rain coming. We need it.
