Hey There!
It's 8:14 AM EDT, 42°F, Humidity 63%, Wind 17 mph N, mixed sun and clouds
Yesterday the weather was pretty miserable. Some activities I had planned got washed out. So the day was a slow one.
After my morning routine I had planned to take all the recycle material to the station, but the rain and wind convinced me to hold off one more day. Instead, I had a little breakfast of cottage cheese and pineapple, and then reluctantly went into my office to start to put together my podcast.
I say "reluctantly" only because these days, getting anything started is a monumental moment. I don't want to make too much of this, but I like to have my days unstructured, which I think is the result of overstructuing my days when I was working. I may have noted this before, but I am trying to become as obligation-free as possible, and my podcast, much as I've enjoyed it, is an obligation. I've managed so far to pare it down to its essentials, making it much easier on my to get done, but I'd still not to have to think about it. DW wants me to continue doing it, as she thinks it is something to keep me busy and focused, and she may be right in the long run.
At any rate, I spent the next couple of hours finishing off the podcast. I was done by about 2PM, and so fixed a lunch of a hot dog and tortilla chips. I watched a weather video, and then began the search for camera battery chargers. I found all of them (a miracle!) and set all the batteries to charge. I took a nap I think between 3 and 4 PM. It seems that at times, if I am sitting down, I will drift off to sleep. I am beginning to suspect my blood pressure medication to be the cause of this fatigue, as this is one of its side effects. A conversation with my doctor in the future.
It's been a tough few days for DW as her sister has gone up and down with her mental and physical health. So I suggested we pull out the frozen meatballs and sauce and just have a meal of pasta and meatballs. She agreed, and we added a salad to that. It took a little stress off her, and she got some relatively good news about her sister in the late afternoon. Hopefully some progress on that front will be taking place over the next few days.
The rainout of the ballgame meant I finished the day with YouTube. I've been trying not to feel all that guilty about watching YouTube. I should be reading, but YouTube passes the time better, and I don't really watch junk. Last night was Travel Bag Rabbit Hole night in the end. This channel's main personality is very entertaining and engaging, and I like watching him perform as much as anything else. But I do like bags; I just have more than I need at this point. In fact, I should give a lot of them away.
I went into the kitchen, cleaned up, and got into bed early at 10:55 PM.
That's all for now. 'Til We Meet Again!
