Hey There!

Yesterday was not a half-bad day. I got more accomplished than I expected to. Let's see if I can run it down for you.
I've been holding off on morning walks because there is something going on in my right hip. It's a nagging injury, and I am trying to get more rest for it rather than slightly aggravating it every day. I'm not sure my plan is working, but I figured I'd give it a try. Instead, I got it together to write a post for my public blog. Things have been boring lately, which was the gist of the post. I'm searching for something creative, but I haven't landed on anything yet.
DW has been talking about getting windows washed, so I decided to kill two birds with one stone. My rear office faces south and east, and in the morning the sun (when it comes up) shine right into a window that causes the light to shine directly in my eyes when looking at my computer screen. The newly trimmed tree now also has less branches and leaves to shut this light out. Looking out the window you wouldn't know the tree was even there. So I brought down a curtain from an upstairs bedroom, DW and I washed the three windows in the room, and I hung the curtain. I think it will make a difference.
After that little bit of an energy burst, I went out for lunch with a few other retired colleagues who constitute my poker group. That was a nice time. I remembered when I was a young worker and I used to look over at tables with older men sitting and chatting and complaining about how things were so much worse. I'm now one of those old guys!
Returning home, I was able to schedule two of the three interviews I want for my next podcast for next week. I tried taking a nap, and I think I caught a few ZZZs, but it didn't feel like enough. Lunch was quite large, and I didn't much feel like dinner when it came around, so I skipped dinner and went straight to my evening ushering gig
The concert was very nice. They were a good, low-key, well-blended collection of musicians, playing a blend of folk music, bluegrass music, and traditional Celtic sounds. They played original music as well as covers, and it was a pleasant way to spend the evening.
I came home and made myself a snack of cheese nachos and some apple crisp. I think I spent a little time on YouTube looking over the latest power station release. The pleasant day came to a conclusion around 11:15 PM.

That's all for now. 'Til We Meet Again!
