I'm just gonna drop in this brief post so as to insure I get something down today. It's going to be a busy day, as I'm about to head out to teach two classes two hours away. I have to get food for the day and whatnot. Since I figure I'll be tired when I get back and won't think to write, doing a quick note now will save me the trouble. I can recap stuff on Sunday.
Suffice to say I did see a Canadian duo perform - banjo and fiddle - and they were exquisite. Subtle arrangements of Appalachian style music. Some humorous numbers. Quiet and subdued. They played as if there was only one instrument that seemed to have two sounds coming out of it. A good concert. Other than that not much to tell, really.
