Hey There! It's 8:47 AM EST

Today is the 62nd anniversary of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. It's also the 62nd anniversary of the day America lost its innocence.

Yesterday wasn't a terribly busy day. I went for a morning walk, and it was a pleasant day to do so. Not sunny, but not cold and no wind. At this time of year, that's considered a good day.

I also headed out to Walmart to buy the Thanksgiving turkey. A 14-pounder. DW has another turkey she is making today. She really sort of wore herself out planning food and menus for the holiday. We have to prepare 4 evening meals while Son1 and Co. are here.

I know I did a lot of goofing off on the computer yesterday, as I can't remember precisely any other activity until the evening, when we went to see a stand-up comedian performance at our local performance venue. I was ushering the event, and DW came along for the ride. It was a good time, as the comedian was very funny! He was actual a local living in the area for many years, so his comedy was hyper-local and tuned in to local issues and personalities. Lots of fun.

Today it's up to the campsite and a final closing down of the place for the winter. I don't like going up there during hunting season, but such is the timing this year. What can you do? I should be pretty tired by the time I get back.

'Til We Meet Again!
