Hey There! It's 8:02 AM EDT, 58°F, Wind 14 mph S, sunny

It looks like there is going to be a bit of a warming trend this weekend and into next week. That will be much welcome at this point in spring.

Yesterday I woke up at Son2's GF's house. I was out of my routine, so I sat at the kitchen table glancing at the headlines on my phone. GF came out first, and she made me a cup of coffee using her Nespresso machine. The thing about these machines is they put out a frothy drink, and it's also a little strong, which is good. I've been considering buying one myself, but the cost of the pods is pretty high. We chatted until she left for work, and then Son2 came out. I chatted with him, got a second cup of coffee for the road, and then headed out for home. I stopped at a fast food location for a breakfast sandwich.

The 2-hour drive was pleasant and uneventful except for the price of gas, which continues to rise. It was ten cents more than last Saturday, when I filled up coming back from the studio. When I got home I was a little disoriented, as it felt like I had just woken up and should have been making a pot of coffee and going through my morning routine - too late for that!

DW had a 1pm lunch date, so I wrote yesterday's post and then made an appointment to see the audiologist that GF works for in early August. Once DW left, I decided to go for a walk, which I seldom do in the afternoon. I changed up the location a bit, walking along the lake's seawall. It's a little shorter, but seeing as how I hadn't walked in a couple of days, shorter worked OK. Then I went out and got a BBQ hot dog from my local burger place. It's so good! And only $5!

When I got back home, I looked up recipes on how to cook a filet mignon for DW. Then I took a 45-minute nap. I had to fill a little time before dinner, so I checked on my rotisserie team (nothing to be done), and then watched a couple of Jomboy baseball videos. We had those filet mignon steaks with onions and mushrooms for dinner, alongside a salad made with the vegetables we picked up on Wednesday, and some sweet potatoes. A fantastic meal, and the steaks were cooked very well! DW occasionally buys an Omaha Steaks package when she sees a deal, and these steaks were included in the last package. They're really a treat.

After dinner, baseball time! I had to fiddle around a bit to get the game, finally remembering that my Amazon Prime account had Apple TV built into it. I had a bowl of ice cream with maple syrup and granola while watching. We won, and my rotisserie team pitcher got the win as well, along with a good amount of strikeouts. I know I watched a video while I was waiting for 11:00 to come around, but I can't remember which one. That shows you how insignificant it is. Bedtime was 11:10 pm.
