Hey There! It's 8:17 PM MDT, 60°, clear

So today was Draft Day for my rotisserie baseball league. This is a live auction draft that takes all day, and I am pretty beat and also pretty pissed. Our league web service pulled the rug out from under us by neglecting to inform us that it no longer offers roster loading service. I know that if you're not a baseball fan or a fantasy league fan this will be meaningless, so suffice to say this was very annoying. While I did manage to make them reimburse me the cost of the software, it still leaves me with double the work I have to do. It sucks. Anyway, that took up the whole day today. DW and I had dinner at a nearby Italian joint. I had Tuscano shrimp penne while DW had a baked salmon salad. I have enough leftover for a lunch tomorrow.

Yesterday was again filled with driving. It is amazing how jam packed the Salt Lake City metro area is. There must be a good 70 miles or so of 3-4 lane highway full of cars. I'm afraid, though, I put us a bit out of our way by coming to Pocatello. I have to go back west about an hour for the next stop. I was originally thinking of coming this way, but changed my mind without changing the reservation. Ah well, not too much lost. We have a nice suite here so I can't complain much.

I think I may be getting too old for road tripping, though. The thrill seems to be fading, and while I like to drive, it doesn't quite have that same "thrill of the open road" sense that it had in my younger days. Driving, unpacking, eating, sleeping, packing, driving - repeat - has lost a certain sense of "newness." I keep entertaining the thought of staying home next year. Time will tell.
