Hey There! It's 7:54 AM EDT, 64F, Humidity 78%, Wind 2 mph NE, partly cloudy

I slept through until 7AM this morning. It's a wonder that I did.

Yesterday was another frustrating day with the project. In the morning, I went through my morning routine, although I did choose to brew Keurigs rather than a full pot of coffee. I've been trying to adjust my schedule a bit, not lingering so much with my morning routine. So I had breakfast, cleaned up, and was ready to start the day by 10:15 AM, an hour earlier than usual. No walk. That helps with the time crunch, but not my health.

I decided that my Windoze computer needed upgrading, and of course that took the better part of an hour. I also tested out my cheap webcam, and got it working on this machine. It took a little bit of doing, as I had to find and install the right drivers through updates. I installed Zoom on it, and I believe everything is in place to do Zoom interviews. It took much more time to get this accomplished than I had thought, and now I have to do it on the machine I intend to use. That will probably happen today.

I got a text from my project partner saying she might be a little late, as she got into a small sideswipe accident. She ended up being OK and on time. I left the house at about 11:50 AM for a 12:30 PM session. All in all, the session did not go well. By the time I left at around 5PM or so, I was completely frustrated, and very angry at myself for agreeing in the first place to do this project. I feel I should have known better, and so now, in trying to do the right thing for someone, I end up being completely frustrated at the sheer inability of my partner to process simple information - simple to me, anyway. I have got to find a way to dial down my expectations of what she can do.

I got home and dumped my frustrations on DW for a bit, and then we had dinner of chicken in some kind of sauce over rice with roasted vegetables. Then I went to the living room to watch TV and hopefully calm down. The team lost another one. But I had brought home an apple pie from the local famous pie place, and it was very good. After the game was over I cleaned up the kitchen, and filled the remainder of the day with reading some random articles from the Friday newsletter I receive. One self-help post had this advice: Do what has to be done, when it has to be done, and do it that way every time. Seems reasonable. Not sure how I can apply it to the project work, but I should keep it in mind. Bedtime was 11:20 PM.
