Today we're visiting old friends and so this post will probably be rather short. Yesterday was pretty much nothing more than getting ready to drive up here.
The drive was actually quite nice. For some reason Google maps wanted to take me on a side route. I have to believe it was because of the traffic situation, but that side route was a glorious drive-thru on an historic highway, and the cactus Forest was just lovely to look at. The drive took about 3 and 1/2 hours.
When we got there we had a nice dinner, and then spent the evening chatting away. Bedtime was 11:15.
I woke up this morning to the awful news that we have started bombing Iran. This will not end well.
