Hey There!

It's 7:56 AM EDT, 71°F, Humidity 95%, Wind 5 mph W, light rain, AQI 53

Yesterday was a nice, easy day. It was so easy I can hardly remember what I did.

I started off with my morning routine, but no walk after a round of golf on Thursday. I had a 10:30 interview scheduled for my podcast, and so when the time came I did that. After the interview, I had breakfast, which was a bowl of oat bran mixed with granola, and then went up to shower and dress.

Coming down after getting cleaned up, I checked in on some baseball news and my rotisseries team. Then I decided what the hell, I had the time, so why not put together my podcast for next week and get it off my plate. And so I did that. I edited the two interviews I had, wrote the script and recorded it, mixed and stitched everything together, and listened to the final product for proofing. So it's done, and by then it was about 4:30 in the afternoon.

I passed an hour with some trivial things just to kill time (probably a video or two I am guessing), and had dinner at about 5:45. It was leftover beef and macaroni with an ear of sweet corn. DW didn't have anything planned so I grabbed what was there. No complaints.

Then I was off to play poker with a few of my fellow retired colleagues. It's an amiable game of dime poker, and the company was very enjoyable. It was the host's birthday, so we "let him win" a few hands. The highlight is always the conversation. I did not have anything stronger than a caffeine-free Pepsi, but let me tell you, if you're not used to drinking sugary drinks, the head rush is a little bit odd!. Sometimes I'll imbibe a little rum or bourbon, but not last night. And sometimes I will also smoke a cigar, but not last night. When I came home from the last game, the smell of cigar smoke managed to permeate the interior of our car so badly that it took a detailing session and the replacement of the cabin filter to get the smell out. So she made me ride my scooter to the game last night so I wouldn't stink up the car again. It was actually nice to take the scooter out for the short ride. And I won $5.

Anyway, I came home around 9:30. DW went up to bed almost right after I got home. I checked in on the ball game, which had a rain delay, and they were in the 3rd inning, but I chose not to tune it. I checked into an article about the team's GM, which was a whitewash of his failures. I left a comment saying so. I checked this morning, and it looks like my comment wasn't approved. I'm guessing the algorithm rejected the word "whitewash." That's even more of an indication the story was a whitewash job.

I watched one camping video, which turned out to be a waste of time. Bedtime was 11:06 PM.

That's all for now. 'Til We Meet Again!
