Yesterday we took a three-hour drive for a little vacation. The drive was fine, but the weather was not. By the time we got to our destination, it was raining, as we were on the edge of the nor'easter. We ate at a cute little place that offered food on the honor system - no cashiers, pay by cash slid into a mail slot, or Venmo, or check. We split some mac and cheese, a roast beef sub, and a piece of Reese's cake, with pretzels as a snack.
Then we took a drive through a beautiful state park. The campground was lovely. We drove past a herd of bison, and the forest was quite thick. No cell service!
When we got back to the motel, I took a nap. I was exhausted, and surprised to be so. Driving long distances seems to be getting to me.
We did not go out for dinner as we were both still OK from lunch. I went down a couple of YouTube rabbit holes, the biggest one being travel bags. I am specifically looking into 12L bags. Each one I saw had a slight flaw for me; none were perfect. Bedtime was around 11 PM.
