Hey There!
It's 8:09 AM EDT, 56°F, Humidity 87%, Wind 12 mph NE, mostly cloudy
Very cool this morning. It might be time to take out the fan in the kitchen window.
Yesterday was a more relaxing day than I had anticipated. I went through my morning routine, and by the time DW came downstairs, I asked her if we were going to be driving to the local art show to buy a piece of art from her friend. She said we didn't have to go to the show because she was going to go to her studio and buy a piece there. So suddenly the day opened up a bit.
With that, I decided to get to work on my upcoming podcast. I wrote all the narrations and intro/outros, and recorded them. Then I went to work editing the interviews. I have two in the can, and one more is coming up today. I found some background music and laid that in. Once I get the interview done today, all the pieces will be there. So that felt very productive.
I didn't have much lunch. DW came by with a smoothie of some kind, and I added a protein bar to that. Once I finished the podcast, I went upstairs to clean up. I also managed to put my laundry away. Being the lazy person that I am, sometimes I will simply pick clothes out of the laundry basket before getting around to putting them away Eventually I get around to it.
When I came downstairs DW already had the WPBL Championship Game 4 on her computer screen. She watched that while I watched my team play. The LA Queens took a beating yesterday, losing by 17-4, and I think they're exhausted and have no pitching left. The SF Firebells have a lot of offensive weapons. In my game, we lost due to some poor pitching performances out of the bullpen. This is the last week of the regular season, and we play the first-place team four games starting tomorrow. It's do-or-die week.
Before dinner, I also decided to to a re-branding of my public blog. I have been wanting to do this for some time now, so I took the opportunity to create a new username and title for the blog, writing a post describing why I am re-branding. It feels weird to re-brand, and I am afraid I may be being too presumptuous, but I did it nonetheless. When it was complete, it felt like the right move. My life has been changing direction since spring, and I felt the blog should reflect the changes in my life circumstances.
Dinner was grilled sausages, roasted potatoes, and a salad. Very tasty, and maybe a last breath of summer dinner. After dinner I went looking for a movie or something to watch. I had heard the TV series Widow's Bay was good, so I tried the first episode, but nothing grabbed me. Then I found the martial arts movie Ip Man 2, and I realized I hadn't watched any of the Ip Man movies. The series of movies is based on the life of Ip Man, a Win Chun Grandmaster and the teacher of Bruce Lee. So I watched that movie, and was not disappointed. It was an excellent martial arts movie, with Donnie Yen as Ip Man and Sammo Hung as Hung Chun-Nam, his enemy turned friend. I will probably be watching the whole series in the coming days.
The movie took me right to kitchen cleaning time and bedtime at 10:55 PM. All in all, a productive and entertaining day.
That's all for now. 'Til We Meet Again!
