Hey There!

Happy Labor Day!

I decided to add the day of the week to the title of the post, just for a bit of extra clarity. It occurs to me that sometimes I am not sure what day of the week it is as I go about my daily business, so just for my own sake it will be convenient to know what day of the week the actual date was.

It's late in the afternoon, and I am up on the campsite solo. The day started out with a chat from Son2 complaining about some GI trouble. We think he has a bit of constipation. He had a virtual consult with someone from the ER at his local hospital. I didn't know you could do that. The RN gave his some instructions to take some DucoLax and Pepto and hope everything begins to pass. It's part of the jet lag, I believe. I hope he's all right, as we haven't heard from him this morning.

DW and I had planned to come out to the campsite today, and we got here around noon. We took two cars just in case she felt she had to go home, and that's what happened. She simply could not find a comfortable way to relax either in a chair or lying down in the RV, so she decided to go home and get some ice/heat on it. She has PT tomorrow, so I'll probably get back home in time to drive her to her appointment. I think this probably will be enough to convince her that traveling in the RV and even spending time on the campsite may be too much for her now until she finishes PT at the very least.

I managed to get a major project done, and that was connecting up the solar controller to my LiFePo battery on the RV so it would have a consistent charge going. It's nice to have a setup where, as you use power, you are also filling it up again. I connected a 100W solar panel, as the solar controller is a cheap 10A PWM model. I've purchased a 30W model so I can connect 200W to it, and that will make it charge faster. Very convenient. With the little energy I use, I should be fine.

I've still got the lawn to mow and a shed to clean out, but those are projects for tomorrow. Tonight I'm grilling a hamburger to go along with some baked beans, raw carrots and cucumber slices. I have an ear of corn, but I believe I have no butter. Can't eat sweet corn without butter!
