Yep, missed another day! I was going to write early Sunday morning, but I figured since I had put in an entry late Saturday night, I'd wait until later Sunday to write. Then I forgot. The synapses ain't what they used to be.
Sunday was a busy enough day, to be sure. The day pretty much consisted of two projects. The first was reading and commenting on a collection of one-act plays. I sort of got unconsciously roped into being a play reader for a local one-act play festival, so I read and commented on 11 plays across the morning and afternoon.
Then I spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to manage my photos. I discovered a program called Shotwell, which is a Linux photo management app. It seems so far to be simple enough, but I hope it has the capacity to handle all the photos I have. So far, so good. It files the photos by year. If I want more refined organization, I am going to have to make that a winter project by collecting photos into folders. That will be a process all its own, and it will be quite tedious, I am sure. I found a previous Takeout of just my photos, so I'm pretty pleased I can handle the photos separately from my files.
Both these projects pretty much filled the day. Dinner was hot dogs, and then DW and I watched the ballgame. We are sorry to see the Mariners digging a hole for themselves. Last game tonight, winner takes the series. World Series to follow. Then - darkness.
Today, I conducted two interviews for my next podcast, which is great. Glad to get them done so soon. One more on Thursday and I'll be ready to put the 10/29 episode together. In between those interviews I did more importing of pictures into Shotwell, as well as deleting every last file and email from Google. My Gmail and Google Drive look as if I just opened the account yesterday, not 20+ years ago. Wow. Very freeing and terrifying at the same time.
