Hey There!
It's 8:13AM EDT, 44°F, Humidity 57%, Wind 9 mph S, clear
Yesterday was a long day, and seemingly short but busy. DW and I left for Son2's city at 9:00 AM, ad we got into the city around 11:15 after stopping for gas and breakfast-to-go. Son2 was doing some individual instruction, but when he was done he left to bring his mother to the hotel (I believe that's what they did) while I taught my class. Things are going well with the class, although I do have to say nothing about teaching it makes me want to come out of retirement.
After class I checked into the hotel, and I was pretty tired. I could have taken a nap right there, but I had to stay awake to go see Son2's house. It's really a perfect house for him. It's small, it is showing its age in spots, (probably over 100 years old), but for one person trying to get into the housing market, it works. The basement is dry, the heater is new, the roof is less than 10 years old. There is a slight slant to the kitchen floor, but the kitchen itself is large enough. There's a back room and a nice small yard. There is an upstairs space which is wide open and large. It's a good house for getting started in a decent neighborhood. It's the biggest space he's ever lived in, and he likes it. Given housing prices today, I think this is a good house for his needs. He will be comfortable and make some nice memories here.
We went from their to his girlfriend's house for dinner. She had her two kids with her, so we were six for dinner. GF made a nice meatloaf with mashed potatoes and a beans/mushroom side. I was barely able to make it through the dinner since I was so tired, but I managed. We left there around 7PM and came back to the hotel.
I was listening to the baseball game most of the time, and the Guardians lost again. They have a tall task ahead of them, trying to win two in Tampa Bay. I don't give them much of a chance of doing that, as I think their pitching has become very fatigued, and they're not hitting too much.
Once the game was over I spent time on YouTube. The furniture in the hotel is not very comfortable, so I struggled a bit to try and relax. Ultimately I went to bed at 10PM, about an hour earlier than usual. Man, I was so beat I only got up once to pee in the night. The bed, at least, was the most comfortable piece of furniture in the suite.
That's all for now. 'Til We Meet Again!
