Hey There! It's 1:46 PM EDT
Well, the Seattle Mariners had a surprise for the Toronto Blue Jays! After a 15-inning marathon game and a cross-country international flight across three time zones, the Mariners dragged their asses in to Rogers Centre and beat the Jays 3-1 in rather ordinary fashion. Nothing to it, right?
Got up this morning at a more usual time of 7:15. It's getting dark now in the morning, but the return to standard time will alleviate that for a month or so. I went through my usual morning routine of coffee and catchup, and then took DW to PT. Morning walk in the park of 1.68 miles/30 minutes, picked up DW, and back home for breakfast. Then headed to the store for a snack run. I bought enough snacks that I hope will get me through the World Series.
I also wrote a post for my public blog as well as continued downloading files from my Google Takeout in preparation for the big de-googling. Today is a day where I probably should be doing something outdoors on the camp site, but instead am sitting at home navelgazing. What the fuck, I'm retired, right?
I did listen to an interesting podcast from CBC Ideas. It was a lecture from the author of We Were Never Woke, and now I feel I need to get the book and read it. Maybe right after finishing this post. The rest of the day has two baseball games and Monday Night Football on the agenda. I haven't decided between football and the NLCS game yet. Probably won't decide until game time.
DW is baking up a storm, and this is the annual Soup Week Challenge, so I'll be eating a bunch of soup for the week. Some I like the sound of, others not so much. I will eat just about anything and be grateful, but soup five days in a row is challenging. I'll get over it.
'Til We Meet Again!
