As I was taking out my recyclables this morning, I forgot it was a federal holiday, so I sheepishly had to bring them back in the house. It's a small indication of how things like three-day weekends escape my attention.
Yesterday was completely occupied with teaching my weekly class at Son2's studio. It's a four-hour round trip with a three-hour class in between. The students range in age from early 20s to 71, which is a bit of a challenge. But it's an easy class with simple exercises and a very particular focus, so teaching it is no problem.
The past two weeks I took back roads home, but yesterday I went complete interstate. The fall colors are starting to peak, and the back roads were tempting, but it was a bit overcast, and the back roads add 20-30 minutes to the ride. So I stayed on the interstate, but did get off one exit early for one short section home.
When I got home there was still some time before dinner, so I checked in on some videos. One guy I've enjoyed in the past but who has been absent for a while had a very useful video for me. Always good to see him back, as he's beginner friendly.
Dinner was pasta and meatballs, which were made from sausage and beef. I also had a small salad. There were enough meatballs and sauce for three more meals at least, so I packed everything up, froze two portions, and refrigerated a lunch portion.
I watched the playoff game between the Dodgers and Milwaukee. I was afraid Milwaukee would not be able to keep LA down, but the Miz managed to get through enough innings to hand it over to the bullpen, and MIL won 2-1. Two games tonight, as the AL championship gets under way. The game took me to bedtime at 11:30 PM. I got the kitchen cleaned up duinrg the 7th inning stretch.
