The regional NFL team won yesterday. The people rejoiced!
As for me, we had a family conversation with DW, Son2, and I about the future and about moving. It was, I think, fruitful. The bottom line is we don't have to sell this house and move right away, which I feel is good. We have to be prepared to dump maybe $200K into a property in the future, however, as Son2 tries to find an asset that he can work with. He thinks he will start that when spring arrived. Man, does he hate paying rent!
Then in the afternoon I went to hear an opera at the local college. I'd like to get those 2.5 hours back. The piece itself was heavy, repetitive and full of filler. While I can see why it was popular in its day, it felt dated. It was a slog to get through.
Returning home, I ate a baked ziti bolognese meal DW prepared, then sat on the couch watching YouTube videos. I did spend an hour listening to a podcast from The Atlantic that had a good title, but was rather insubstantial. I'd like to get that hour back, although I did think calling the internet a Misery Machine was kind of catchy.
Today is an interview day, and I hopefully will be able to schedule two more as the week goes on. This afternoon I have targeted to put away remaining things on the porch and get a bungee cord around the grill to keep it tight. If you want to know how grey its been lately, the posts on my porch that have solar lights don't get enough solar energy to stay on the entire night now. Today looks like another grey one.
