Hey There! It's 8:14 AM EDT, 73°F, W 9.3 mph S, sunny

Yesterday was a day that, when it began, I thought I wasn't going to get anything done. The strange combination of booze, tobacco, and sweets from the poker game on Sat. evening seemed to have the effect of a mild hangover with stomach cramps. But the magic elixir - coffee - soon came to the rescue, got me charged up and going, and it turned out to be a productive day.

The first order of business was a breakfast of French toast topped with butter, maple syrup, and coconut yogurt, as well as a side of two bacn strips. DW thought I wasn't going to eat it all since I complained about my hangover, but it all went down smoothly, with no problems. Since I knew it wasn't going to be a walking day, I sat down and began what I thought was going to be a bit of idle web browsing, when quite by accident I hit upon a method to archive my old posts from a former web site I've been looking to shut down. The whole process took less than an hour, and I now have a site that contains my posts as an archive. I then deleted all the posts from the retired website except one, and come November the entire site will disappear. This is a major achievement. I felt pretty good about that.

Then I went to get the paperwork for a used EV we are buying. DW finally came around to the idea that we don't need two cars anymore, but still, it's nice to have one just in case when one of us isn't around. So we're purchasing a runaround used EV solely for "in town" trips. I think of it as a legal golf cart or like one of my motorcycles, but I can operate it in any weather without special gear. It's not something we will put miles and miles on, and I am fairly sure we can keep it juiced up with just the 120V outlet on the side of the house (we have no garage). Now the hard part - selling the extra car. I hate selling things on Marketplace or Craigslist, as the bullshit level is high. But it will get done eventually, somehow.

I arrived back home to watch most of the ballgame, and was witness to an incredibly stupid loss in extra innings. Just horrific baseball. The less said, the better.

Then throughout the afternoon and into the evening I got into a writing spree. I pumped out three posts for my front-facing blog, which, along with dinner (hamburgers with mushrooms and onion, green beans, broccoli, potato pancakes), took up the remainder of the evening. I did add three YouTube videos into the mix: one on a device to accompany a dumb phone, one on how Amazon will soon be bricking your Kindle, and one on an ad blocking system installed at the router level. So the evening went pretty fast. So fast, in fact, that I forgot to put in my eyedrops. Not good. I have to develop a foolproof system for that. Bedtime was 10:40 PM.
